General description

The Mexican Robotics Tournament® (TMR) is affiliated with various international competitions, including the IEEE’s Latin American Robotics Competition (LARC). Each year, the TMR supports the winning team of the LARC Standard Educational Kits (SEK) category to represent Mexico in the Latin American Robotics Competition.

Within LARC, a new challenge is proposed every two years, based on real-world problems, which must be solved exclusively using official parts from a single standard educational robot development kit. Currently, there are many educational kits available; the most commonly used in this competition are Lego kits. If you have an educational kit from a different brand, please contact the technical staff to confirm whether it meets the requirements for participating in the competition.

Restrictions

To participate in LARC SEK, teams may have a maximum of 4 members. All team members must be undergraduate students or enrolled in a lower level of education.

Teachers who accompany the team and wish to receive a certificate recognizing their participation in the event may register as mentors. The registration fee for mentors is the same as for contestants. Since LARC SEK is a student-only competition, mentors are not assigned a place at the team’s work table and are not allowed to assist their students during the competition.
