Pero los drones no solamente sirven como c\u00e1maras a\u00e9reas para capturar videos o fotos, los drones pueden fungir como robots tambi\u00e9n, robots a\u00e9reos. Lo anterior es posible ya que los drones pueden llevar computadoras a bordo para procesar informaci\u00f3n, como la obtenida a trav\u00e9s de sus sensores, y con ello ejecutar acciones sobre sus actuadores, las h\u00e9lices, con lo cual se puede ejecutar vuelo aut\u00f3nomo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Para incentivar y promover el desarrollo de los drones aut\u00f3nomos en M\u00e9xico, el TMR organiza la categor\u00eda de drones aut\u00f3nomos, donde se proponen diferentes retos o misiones de vuelo a ser ejecutados por un dron. El dron puede ser comercial, armado o de dise\u00f1o original. No obstante, el \u00e9nfasis de la categor\u00eda radica en el dise\u00f1o de la inteligencia artificial que le permita al dron ejecutar tareas de manera aut\u00f3noma.
