GENERAL INFORMATION
The AutoModelCar category seeks to encourage the development of perception, planning and control algorithms for driverless vehicles. The vehicles that participate in this similar category are 1:10 scale models equipped with sensors and actuators to those found in a real vehicle. The direct antecedent of this category is the project “Visions of urban mobility”, directed by Dr. Raul Rojas, from the Free University of Berlin. In the first editions, only participation with the benefits obtained from various institutions within the framework of this project was allowed, however, this year participation with open platforms will be allowed as long as the restrictions described in the rule book are met.
MODALITY
Due to the conditions derived from the health contingency, and with the idea of giving the participants teams more options, this year this category will take place in two modalities:
- Presential
- Virtual
Because both modalities present different challenges and difficulty levels, both modalities will be evaluated separately, that is, there will be prizes for the first places in each category separately.
